I'm sort of stealing this idea from Redfork2000. Wait no, that's not right. I'm not stealing it, I'm p - wait a minute, hasn't this joke been used before already?

(From the background) "PEAVZ108 IS RUNNING OUT OF JOKES!"

While Pokemon was never really a big part of my childhood, it was only quite recently last year when I started to become interested in the series. The only Pokemon game I remember playing was Pokemon GO, and in my opinion, I don't count that as a main installment of the franchise. Let's be honest, catching Pokemon was more fun than the trainer battles, at least as far as I remember when playing Pokemon GO in the trending days of 2016. And I slowly got bored of that game. But that wasn't the reason why I started getting more and more interested in the series...

One recurring topic I came across in the forums I visit was "If X characters had Pokemon types", and it was really interesting to see how people have different opinions about a character's potential types and why it fits and vice versa. It got me interested in the Pokemon type chart, which surprisingly didn't take long to memorize, and inspired me to do a previous blog of the same topic. Eventually, I got into watching gameplay videos of several actual Pokemon games (All of Gen 1, Sun and Moon, Let's Go Pikachu, Sword and Shield). I've noticed a certain formula that each game was following and soon, I started to imagine my characters as trainers and gym leaders, how their gyms work and so on. Little did I expect that Redfork had the same idea and actually made a blog about it, so I decided that this would be a good time to share some of my ideas as well.

So without further ado, here's my take on a Pokemon game that includes my cast. I'm getting better at my Pokemon knowledge, but I'm still working on that myself. As always, feel free to let me know about any mistake that I may have made or any of your other suggestions.

POKEMON LIGHT AND DARK

Kind of sounds like Pokemon Black and White, don't you think?

I'll skip the following stuff, because they are pretty much similar in the main games and overall do not have much impact to the gameplay in any way. Also, Redfork2000's choices of such are good enough for me.

- MC Protagonist (I'd be looking forward to a future game where the MC has an established personality, instead of being a blank slate who's just there to represent the player. It would be interesting to see his/her own interactions with the other characters and their relationships. Also, where's the dad in any of these games?)

- Rival

- Starter Pokemon

Starting place would be the player's house in Echo Creek, the first location in the region of Kuriku (direct Japanese translation of "creek" hence the name). The professor who introduces the player to the world of Pokemon will be Cuboy, a teenager who was once a renowned gym leader, now stepped down to pursue a career of Pokemon research.

The plot is relatively simple, but to make it a bit more interesting, it would be a reference to modern IaLR. Basically, an evil organization of anarchic plants known as Team Bomb learnt about "The Warlord", a legendary Pokemon said to have enough power to cause irreversible total destruction, and had to be sealed in the Shadow Dimension by the Pokemon League Champion. With that in mind, they used that knowledge to commence an operation to destroy all life in the entire region so that they can rebuild it, after having had enough of living under fear of Pokemon eating their own kind (reference to berries being Pokemon food). Knowing that they need a large amount of black crystals before they can summon the Warlord, Team Bomb built a machine to create black crystals out of the negative energy in Pokemon. To achieve just that, the plants go around and commit any crimes that might induce fear, sorrow, despair and any other negative emotions in any Pokemon they come across - even kidnapping some of them as test subjects. It is up to the player to stop this evil organization and save the region before it's too late.

Like most Pokemon games, there are two versions: Pokemon Light and Pokemon Dark. Pokemon from all eight generations can be encountered, but there are some Pokemon that are exclusive depending on the version being played.

SUBURBIAN TOWN

Suburbian Town is the first town with a Pokemon gym you’ll encounter on your journey. It’s a small town that may be known for its beautiful greenery and plants, but is also rumored to be plagued with brain-hungry zombies. There are even rumors of a plant hero agency, apparently...

Suburbian Town Pokemon Gym

Leader: Green Shadow

Type: Grass

The Cloaked Pea-shooting Heroine!

Gym Guide Quote:

“Hiya! I can tell you have what it takes to become a Pokemon champ! I'm no trainer, but I can tell you how to win! Let me take you to the top! This is your first time taking on a Gym challenge, I take it?”

"Alright! Let's get happening! The 1st Pokémon out in a match is at the top of the Pokémon List! By changing the order of Pokémon, matches could be made easier!"

"This Gym's leader is Green Shadow! She will be quite the tough opponent to face with her Grass-type Pokemon, but you can burn them down with fire Pokemon! Ice and poison moves are super effective against them too."

Win:

"Wow, you managed to defeat Green Shadow? Impressive, you're really Pokemon champ material!"

The Suburbian Town Gym has walls painted to look like a friendly neighborhood that looks similar to Plants vs. Zombies, with a grass-like floor.

Gimmick: Before the player faces each trainer, they will come across a metal gate and a huge area of tall grass. Hidden somewhere among the tall grass is a switch that will unlock the gate. The player must use a device given to them at the start of the gym challenge to find the switch. The device will emit a red light that will glow brighter and start blinking as the player gets closer to the switch's location. Simultaneously, the player must avoid cardboard zombies that are walking around the grass. If caught by a cardboard zombie, the player will be brought back to the starting point of the current area. The player will face this gimmick three times, each one having more switches and cardboard zombies than the last. Once the gym challenge is complete, the player can face Green Shadow.

- Weepinbell, Level 13

Being defeated:

"Well done, fellow trainer. It appears that you do have what it takes after all."

After defeat:

"For completing the gym challenge and beating me in a Pokemon battle, please take the Leaf Badge. The Leaf Badge will make all Pokemon up to Lv. 20 obey you. It also allows you to use CUT outside of battle, to get rid of any small trees in your way. But based on how well I've seen you fight in that battle we had, I believe you deserve a parting gift from me before you continue your journey. Here, take this."

"This is a TM, or Technical Machine. You can use TMs like this one to teach your Pokemon the moves within them. In this case, this TM contains Razor Leaf. It's a physical attack that has a high chance of landing a critical hit. Be sure to use it on a Grass-type Pokemon. I wish you the best of luck on your journey."

BAKER STREET

Up next is Baker Street, a place called home to anthropomorphic cookies and where happiness is everlasting. It is also well-known for its famous bakeries.

Baker Street Pokemon Gym

"Yo! Champ in the making! Assorted Cookie is an expert on Fairy Pokemon! They may appear cute, but they can be pretty deadly too. Fortunately, they're susceptible to poison so use that to your advantage!"

Win:

"My word, color me impressed! That was quite the spectacular battle!"

The Baker Street Gym has a candy land theme, with a magenta floor and gingerbread brown walls decorated with sprinkles. The entire gym is decorated with candy-themed ornaments to resemble a street in the UK.

Gimmick: The door to Assorted Cookie is right in front of the player, but it is locked. There are candy mazes surrounding the player, each with a trainer who holds a key. After defeating each trainer, the player will obtain a key and a teleporter will be activated to bring them back to the starting point. Once all keys are collected, the door will open and the player can challenge Assorted Cookie.

Being defeated:

"Bloody good show! You've certainly had me impressed!"

After defeat:

It's a perfectly convenient way to get to places that you have already been to. And before you leave, I insist that you would please take this TM with you."

"It contains Charm. Charm sharply lowers the target's special attack. You'll never know when you might need it, especially against really strong Pokemon. I'll continue training harder and I hope we can battle each other again someday. Farewell now!"

JEWEL CAPITAL

Jewel Capital is a medieval-themed bustling village, where gemstones are popular trade materials and business is booming. There is also a huge castle in the center, which is actually a gym only those worthy may enter.

Jewel Capital Pokemon Gym

Leader: Diana Diamond

The Royal Princess Tougher Than Stone!

Gym Guide Quotes:

"Yo! Champ in the making! Did you know that the royal princess of Jewel Capital is also the leader of this gym? Crazy, right? Well, Diana Diamond may look like the average damsel in distress, but her rock Pokemon can be pretty tough. Getting to her won't be easy either, with that huge diamond maze blocking your path. You will have to find your way through!"

Win:

"That was a rock solid battle! Rock on, champ!"

The Jewel Capital Gym is set to look like the interior of a medieval castle, with banners and torches as decorations as well as statues of famous Pokemon trainers. The gym has a marble floor and stone walls.

Gimmick: The player will have to navigate through a grid maze, with red and blue diamonds emitting walls of electricity in four possible directions (up, down, left or right). Interacting with a blue diamond will turn it clockwise, likewise interacting with a red diamond will turn it anti-clockwise. As the diamonds turn, so will the walls. Once the player makes it to the exit, they can challenge Diana Diamond.

Team:

- Regirock, Level 25

Being defeated:

"No way! I think I have hit rock bottom!"

After defeat:

The Crystal Badge will make all Pokemon up to Lv. 40 obey you. It also allows you to use STRENGTH outside of battle. Oh yes, I almost forgot! You can have one of my favorite TMs as well!"

"It contains Head Smash. This move packs a incredibly powerful punch, but your Pokemon will also take some of the damage. Be sure to use it wisely! And with that, I would wish you the best of luck but I'm sure you won't need it. I will see you around."

SILENT DISTRICT

Silent District is a city district known for its peaceful and tranquil atmosphere as well as the Great Library, where Pokemon and trainers alike can take a break and read a book or two.

Silent District Pokemon Gym

Leader: Lex the Bookworm

Gym Guide Quotes:

"Yo! Champ in the making! Lex the Bookworm is a master of psychic Pokemon! He may be a bookworm, but he's one of the smartest trainers there is! In fact, he has already prepared a mind-boggling challenge for you so stay focused!"

Win:

"I knew you could defeat Lex! Trust me, I had a vision about it earlier, and I'm not even psychic!"

The Silent District Gym is designed to look like a library, with a light brown tile floor and marble walls, as well as plenty of bookshelves.

Gimmick: The player will come across several invisible mazes. In every maze, there will be two magenta tiles with an eye symbol - one at the starting point, another in the middle of the hidden path. When stepped on, the maze will become visible until the player steps away, and it will become invisible again. The player must memorize the path for each maze to succeed, with each maze having a more complicated path than the last. Get through all invisible mazes in order to challenge Lex the Bookworm.

"It contains Calm Mind. It's a status move that makes a Pokemon concentrate to boost both its Sp. Atk and Sp. Def stats. It can be a pretty smart move to make if you use it correctly. Alright then, go for the big prize! I can already envision you as the next Pokemon League Champion!"

RETROPOLIS CITY

Retropolis City is a retro-themed metropolis full of neon lights and buildings made for recreational activities. Arcades, nightclubs, bowling alleys, laser tag arenas - you name it, you got it. Think of Eitbit as a Pokemon world, that's what it is.

Retropolis City Pokemon Gym

Leader: Starcade

Type: Fighting

The Retrofired Star Fighter!

Gym Guide Quote:

"Yo! Champ in the making! Starcade is going to be a tough nut to crack with her arsenal of fighting Pokemon! Ice, rock and even steel Pokemon won't stand a chance against their mighty blows! But if you enjoy playing video games, then you will love what this gym has to offer!"

Win:

"What a knockout! You certainly brought your A game in that match!"

The Retropolis City Gym has an arcade theme with an 8-bit aesthetic, with dark blue walls and a glowing neon purple floor to resemble nighttime in modern Tokyo.

Gimmick: Before the gym challenge, the player will be given a VR headset and a controller in the shape of a laser gun. The entire gimmick will be similar to be a beat 'em up game, but with a laser gun. The player will have to defeat all enemies (that look like Pokemon) in each zone by shooting at them, before they can proceed to the next zone. They will also be given three 'lives', losing one each time they are hit by an enemy. If all three 'lives' are lost, the player will be teleported back to the starting point of the current zone they are in and they have to replay the entire zone all over again. As the player progresses, the difficulty of each zone will increase with stronger enemies. Clear all zones in order to challenge Starcade.

With the Star Badge, all Pokemon up to Lv. 60 will listen to you! Not only that, you can use SURF outside of battle! Pretty cool, huh? And that's not all! Have this!"

"It contains Seismic Toss. It inflicts damage equal to that of your Pokemon's level. Might need a little bit of calculating, but it's pretty handy. I really like your style, kid. Keep training and you'll work your way to the top! Later, [Player's Name]!"

FROST VALLEY (POKEMON LIGHT EXCLUSIVE)

Frost Valley is a traditional Japanese-styled village located near a snowy mountain. As a result, it experiences perpetual snowfall due to a cold climate. Ninja trainers and their Pokemon often train in the warm and cozy dojos for upcoming Pokemon battles.

This area is only available if the player is playing Pokemon Light.

Frost Valley Pokemon Gym

Leader: Kyoji

Type: Ice

The Cool-Headed Ice Ninja!

Gym Guide Quote:

"Yo! Champ in the making! This gym here in Frost Valley is freezing cold, with even colder ice Pokemon to boot! Reaching Kyoji will certainly not be easy, I heard the blizzards inside can be real nasty! Watch out!"

Win:

"Wow, I got chills from that battle and it wasn't because of how cold the gym was! You're amazing!"

The Frost Valley Gym has ice walls and is filled with freezing cold water, with a large wooden platform for the player to cross. It also has a heavy Japanese aesthetic.

Gimmick: The player can only walk on the wooden platform and must not fall off at any point, otherwise they will have to SURF back to the starting point (or last checkpoint if they have defeated at least one trainer). During the entire gym challenge, strong icy winds will blow at intervals in four possible directions, pushing the player in said direction. The player will receive a warning in advance, so that they will know when the winds will start blowing or changing direction. There will also be metal blocks scattered on the platform, which the player can use to their advantage to prevent themselves from falling off. As the player progresses, the platform will have arcs that force the player to turn in order to proceed, with less metal blocks to use. Walk through the entire platform in order to challenge Kyoji.

A young trainer like you taking on the Pokemon League Champion? I couldn't help but laugh at the very sound of that idea. But I digress, for I am rather intrigued to see what you have in store. Are you truly the prodigy I hear? Then let's put your skills to the test! I'll show you what my ice Pokemon are capable of!"

- Vanillish, Level 40

Being defeated:

"It contains Sheer Cold. Chances aren't very high that it will land a hit, but it's absolute-zero cold. Which means if it does hit, the target will be guaranteed to instantly faint. However, it doesn't work against other ice Pokemon or those at a higher level than your own. Keep training your Pokemon hard, you have so much potential. I shall be looking forward to the results of your journey."

MAGMA VALLEY (POKEMON DARK EXCLUSIVE)

Magma Valley is a traditional Japanese-styled village located near a volcano. As a result, the temperature and humidity are higher than average, even at night. Ninja trainers and their Pokemon often train in the cooling dojos for upcoming Pokemon battles.

This area is only available if the player is playing Pokemon Dark.

Magma Valley Pokemon Gym

Leader: Akasha

Type: Fire

The Hot-Headed Fire Ninja!

Gym Guide Quote:

"Yo! Champ in the making! This gym here in Magma Valley is burning hot, even I'm sweating just thinking about it! Reaching Akasha will certainly not be easy, even getting to the other side with those steam vents gets many trainers burning with rage! Good luck!"

Win:

"That match was as wild as a wildfire on a rampage! You're amazing!"

The Magma Valley Gym has magma walls and is filled with lava, with steam vents and arrow panels on metal platforms. There are two long conveyor belts on each side of the gym. It also has a heavy Japanese aesthetic.

Gimmick: This gimmick is a reference to the Hotland steam vent puzzles from Undertale. The player must use the arrow panels to launch themselves from platform to platform to cross to the other side. If they get launched towards the conveyor belts, they will be brought back to the last starting point. There are also switches on some platforms that if stepped on, will flip the positions of all arrow panels on all platforms. As the player progresses, there will be more platforms with more complicated paths, making it more difficult for the player to cross. Reach the other end of the gym in order to challenge Akasha.

Akasha:

"Hmph, you're here at last. You must be the prodigy that I've been hearing about. At least, that's what Starcade told me. However, in my eyes, there's no way you would stand a chance against the Pokemon League Champion. If you must know, I dislike wasting my time battling trainers who couldn't even come close to giving me a proper fight. Still, I do admire your tenacity and courage to even come this far. If it's a challenge you seek, then I shall not show any mercy. Succumb to the burning fury of my fire Pokemon!"

Team:

- Ninetales, Level 40

- Incineroar, Level 40

- Arcanine, Level 42

- Charizard, Level 43

Being defeated:

"No way! How did you?!"

After defeat:

"I think, I must have gone too easy on you on that fight. But I will admit, your skills are better than I had expected. Don't take it too personally though! It's not that I think of you as a great Pokemon trainer or anything! *sigh* Fine then, here's the Magma Badge. The Magma Badge will make all Pokemon up to Lv. 70 obey you. Also, take this TM. I don't need it, so you can have it."

"It contains Inferno. It burns the target Pokemon and drains their health over the course of battle. It won't work on other fire Pokemon, mind you. Though you have the potential, I still advise caution when facing the Pokemon League Champion. Trust me, it won't be an easy fight. Now move along."

CONFUSED WASTELAND

Confused Wasteland is where a formerly prosperous city once stood, having been destroyed by the Warlord. The player finds the city completely in ruins, now a dark wasteland inhabited by a team of...hybrids? FYI, since the dragon types are one of the strongest in the series and Team Hybrids have been shown to be a very powerful force in IaLR, I think Team Hybrids will best represent a gym of Dragon-types.

Confused Wasteland Pokemon Gym

Leader: Dark Trident

Type: Dragon

The Long Feared Dragon Tamer!

Gym Guide Quote:

"Yo! Champ in the making! Not only are the hybrids in Confused Wasteland dangerous, they're professional Pokemon trainers too! In fact, I hear that Dark Trident is an expert on the ultimate dragon-type Pokemon! They can be really hard to take down, and most of them have a second type, so I hope you can remember which type is super effective against which!"

Win:

"I could come up with a thousand words to describe how awesome you were in that challenge, but even they won't be enough for a praise! Those were legit dragon Pokemon you've fought back there!"

Uniquely, the Confused Wasteland Gym is not a building. It is a huge area of ruins, set to look like the interior of a Pokemon gym with a post-apocalyptic aesthetic. It is also nighttime, with plenty of fog surrounding the area.

Gimmick: This gimmick is similar to a quiz, but probably more interesting (Personally, I think the quiz gimmicks are pretty lame). In front of the player are six multi-colored gates and one large gate, each with a symbol of a different Pokemon type. The symbols are all randomized, so the gates will appear different in each attempt. Remember when the gym guide earlier said that the player will need to remember the different type matchups? Yes, it's applied here too. Scattered across the entire gym are various items representing different Pokemon types. To open each gate, the player will have to bring a key that represents a Pokemon type that is super-effective against the Pokemon type represented by the symbol of that gate. For example, in order to unlock the Fire gate, a Water key is needed. Or in order to unlock the Grass gate, a Fire key is needed and so on. Sometimes, the player may have to use CUT, SURF or STRENGTH to get to the key they need. When one of the six multi-colored gates are opened, there will be a switch. Activate all switches to unlock the large gate needed in order to challenge Dark Trident.

Gym Leader:

Dark Trident:

"You're still here? Interesting. It seems that I was wrong about the rumors about you. At first, they were nothing but fabricated pieces of nonsense to me. It was ridiculous even thinking that you could defeat those other gym leaders. However, seeing you here still in one piece and standing right in front of me, I'm starting to see why. But don't think for even a second that I will go easy on you just because you're the 'champ in the making' everyone claims you to be. I have yet to see the truth with my own eyes. So what are you waiting for? Give me everything you've got! Don't keep my dragon Pokemon waiting!"

Team:

- Zweilous, Level 45

- Altaria, Level 46

- Dragonite, Level 47

- Hydreigon, Level 49

- Eternatus, Level 50

Being defeated:

"Impossible! The worst has come to fruition!"

After defeat:

"No! This can't be! If only I fought harder, I could've kept that throne! If only I have just pushed a little further, maybe I could have stopped her from disappearing... Now she will be so disappointed in me knowing that I couldn't even battle in her place...AAH!!! You're still here? Aren't you finished knowing that you have defeated me? You didn't hear anything I said, did you? *long silence*"

"*sigh* There is no use hiding it from you, is there not? Very well. You see, it had something to do with...all of this. To tell you the truth, I am not actually the official leader of this gym. The official leader disappeared some time ago, along with this city. I couldn't remember her name, but I did remember that she was an amazing gym leader. She's a hybrid too just like me, but light blue. As one of the greatest gym leaders in history, her determination and courage inspired many trainers such as myself to train hard enough so that we could take on the Pokemon League someday. But ever since the Warlord turned this once prosperous city into this wasteland, she disappeared without a trace. I looked everywhere for her, but I just couldn't find her. Even now I haven't the slightest clue if she is still alive. For inspiring me into becoming the Pokemon trainer I am today, I owe everything to her. I decided that if I couldn't find her, I would at least honor her deeds in the best way possible. And that until the day she returns, I would become the new leader of this gym and represent her in her absence. I know that she would be proud knowing that I'm fighting for the lost honor that once belonged to this city. When you showed up just now, I couldn't bring myself to give up the position that I had been fighting for. That's why I wanted to stop you at all costs."

"All right, that's enough chit-chat. I've gotten everything I wanted to say out of my chest. Wherever she is, I am sure she's proud of your victory and progress thus far. For being such a good sport, please take the Fang Badge. The Fang Badge allows you to use FLASH outside of battle. It will come in handy. And before I forget, please take this TM as well."

"It contains Dragon Breath. It's a strong attack that may paralyze the target, suitable against Pokemon that are tougher than you may handle. Truly there is no better trainer to give this TM than you. Now go onward! You have a lot of Pokemon training to do if you want to take on the champion!"

Upon defeating Dark Trident and earning the Fang Badge, a cutscene will play when the player exits the "gym". The skies will turn black (which will affect the entire region until the next gym is cleared) and lightning starts flashing. Pokemon silhouettes will start appearing, attacking everything and corrupting anyone in sight. Dark Trident will tell the player that the worst has happened - the very same disaster that turned his home city into Confused Wasteland. He calls the rest of the gym leaders to help him fight off the silhouettes, while he tells the player to go to the source of the darkness and destroy it before it is too late. He marks a location on the player's map, a remote island far away from the region and where Team Bomb's hideout is located.

BOMB TOWER

Bomb Tower is located on a remote unknown island away from the main region, looking like a gigantic black building filled with bones and carnivorous plants. It's full of anarchy and evil, being very dark and stormy. The player will have to SURF their way to get to this area, before they can take on Team Bomb and stop their evil plan. This is also the only area without a Pokemon Center. The player will also encounter wild Pokemon in the form of silhouettes that cannot be captured with any kind of Poke Ball.

Bomb Tower Pokemon Gym

Leader: ???

Type: Dark

The Daring and Devilish Delinquent!

Gym Guide Quote:

"Yo! Champ in the making! I hear that the last of the gym leaders is on top of this building. This is going to be the toughest of them all! Even I don't know who the leader of Bomb Tower's gym is! But the gym here is heavily fortified, and all the trainers here use dark-type Pokemon! You're going to have to be very careful this time!"

Win:

"Blow me away! Chester was the Gym Leader here?! I never would've guessed!"

The Bomb Tower Gym has dark purple, metallic floors and walls. It is also decorated with explosives, and the player can see bombs being manufactured in the background.

Gimmick: Each floor of the gym contains a maze and the player will have to find a staircase to proceed to the next floor, as the elevator right in front of them is locked. But there's a catch. While the player is trying to solve the maze, bombs will be thrown from off-screen periodically towards the player. If the player is hit by a bomb, the first Pokemon in their party will take damage that cannot be overridden by any way. Should the first Pokemon faint from taking too much damage from the bombs, the second Pokemon in the player's party will take over as the first. The higher the floor, the more frequently bombs will be thrown at the player. Get to the top floor in order to challenge Chester.

Side Note: This is the only gym with its own theme, which will continuously play through the entire gym challenge (that means no pauses and yes, this continues playing during trainer battles) until the player gets to Chester.

Gym Leader:

Chester the Cherry Bomb:

"Fwahahaha!!! You're too late! The heavy defenses in this tower have just given us enough time to complete our latest contraption! With this device, we could finally create enough black crystals to bring out the Warlord himself! Soon, the entire region, no, the entire world will be rid of Pokemon! Once the Warlord himself crosses into our world, it will all be over! No more of us plant folk being slaughtered to feed these pesky creatures! This is it! A bright future is just ahead of us, and there's nothing you can do to stop that! Oh, you don't think so? Does your naivete know no bounds? Do you really think you can stop me? Well, I can't wait to see you try! I, Chester, the supreme leader of Team Bomb, will gladly put you out of your misery!"

Being defeated:

"No. No! NO! No, no, no, no, no! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

After defeat:

"But how? How could I lose to the likes of you? And even worse, you destroyed my machine! Of all the dirty...I guess...I guess this is it. There's no hope for us left now. I guess our kind was destined to be this way from the start. We are plants after all. *sigh* Fine, I guess you win this one. Might as well give you the Skull Badge as proof of your victory. The Skull Badge will make all Pokemon of any level obey you. It's evidence of your mastery as a Pokemon trainer. Also, here."

"It contains Beat Up. It's one of my favorite moves. It will make all Pokemon in your party attack your opponent at once. For me, well, I'm going to reconsider my options on how I would give my fellow plant brethren the bright future they need. And maybe I'll dedicate my life back to Pokemon training and pay my debt to society for all the trouble I have caused. As of today, Team Bomb is officially disbanded! I'll admit, you're a great Pokemon trainer. If anything, I am convinced that you have what it takes to take on the Elite Four and eventually, the Pokemon League Champion in the flesh. Let's meet again sometime, pal!"

Upon exiting the gym, the darkness in the entire region is gone, and the player will be able to see this area in its pre-corrupted state. The elevator in Bomb Tower will be turned on, giving the player a shortcut if they want to go to the top floor again.

So now comes the final stretch of your adventure. On to Elemental Plateau in Victory Road, and to face the Elite Four and become the Pokemon Champion!

ELITE FOUR

The Elite Four must be battled in a fixed order. If at any point the player is defeated, they must start from the first member again. I’ll mention each of the Elite Four, their quotes, and their teams right away. The Elite Four will also have their own battle theme, which will start as soon as the player challenges the first Elite Four member. Just like in the Bomb Tower Gym, this theme will continuously play even during battles, until the player reaches the Pokemon League Champion.

Elite Four Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6Mt_uxnYRA

The first Elite Four member is Tornado.

"Welcome to the Pokemon League! I'm Tornado of the Elite Four. When it comes to flying Pokemon, no one's better than I am! Are you ready? Let's take this battle to the skies!"

Team:

- Pidgeotto, Level 48

- Fearow, Level 50

- Skarmory, Level 50

- Altaria, Level 51

- Lugia, Level 52

"Ooh! You blew me away!"

"That was great, but the challenge has only just begun! You still got a long way to go!"

The second Elite Four member is Earthquake.

"Earthquake of the Elite Four is my name, and ground Pokemon is my game! Get ready to be crushed under their weight! Hi-yah!"

Team:

- Cubone, Level 51

- Onix, Level 52

- Sandslash, Level 53

- Golem, Level 54

- Steelix, Level 54

"No way! You beat me?"

"Could it be...that I have not trained hard enough for this? Still, you have a long way to go before meeting the champion. Onwards!"

The third Elite Four member is Tsunami.

"Ah, (Player's Name)! I've been hearing about you. I'm Tsunami of the Elite Four. I specialize in the art of water Pokemon. You seek to face the champion, do you not? Very well, but I shall not go easy on you."

Team:

- Blastoise, Level 55

- Gyarados, Level 57

- Kyogre, Level 58

"Not bad. You've impressed me."

"It's no wonder the gym leaders were all talking about you. They're talented Pokemon trainers just like yourself, but you're as impressive as they said. Well, what are you waiting for? Proceed!"

The final Elite Four member is Thunderstorm.

"I am the leader of the Elite Four, Thunderstorm. Electric Pokemon are one of the best types there is. In almost every way, they are just like yours truly. You may look tough, but I doubt that you would stand a chance against me. I'll defeat you so quick, it will leave a shocking aftertaste!"

Team:

- Electrike, Level 56

- Magnemite, Level 57

- Raichu, Level 58

- Jolteon, Level 59

- Zapdos, Level 60

"Impossible! No one could be possibly greater than me!"

"You...you're not like most other trainers I have faced in my time. Maybe you do have what it takes to beat the Pokemon League Champion after all. Speaking of which, the door to the champion is just up ahead. I wish you the best of luck."

POKEMON LEAGUE CHAMPION

Having defeated the Elite Four, all you’re left with is to fight the Pokemon League Champion!

Itachi's Battle Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNZ7gllxeZs

Itachi

"[Player's Name]. At long last we finally cross paths. You must be the trainer who defeated all the gym leaders to come all the way here to challenge me for the title. And you managed to beat the Elite Four as well. For coming so far in your journey, I congratulate you. But this is it. This battle is just between you and me. No holding back. How much do you really know about Pokemon? Which one of us is truly the strongest Pokemon trainer of them all? And most importantly, are you ready? Then by all means, bring it on!"

Team:

- Nidoking, Level 58

- Poliwrath, Level 60

- Incineroar, Level 60

- Kingdra, Level 61

- Snorlax, Level 62

- Metagross, Level 64

"Well done, [Player's Name]. I admit defeat, the title is now yours."

"Ha ha, you did it! You're the Pokemon League Champion now! [Player's Name], I can see it now. I have a strong feeling that you will remain champion for a long time. However, in the future, many more young trainers such as yourself will take on the Pokemon League and challenge you. As someone who once had your title, here's a piece of advice. Go out there and continue learning more about Pokemon! Who knows? There may be even legendary Pokemon out there somewhere, just waiting to be caught! All right, go for it! I wish you the best of luck, [Player's Name]."

However, it’s not quite over yet. I’ve got one more surprise for the post-game. A secret final boss. It can only be accessed after becoming the Pokemon League Champion, and after completing at least 50% of the regional Pokedex.

SECRET FINAL BOSS

You return to Echo Creek, and go speak to Cuboy, showing him the Pokedex. If you have more than half of the Pokedex complete, and are the Pokemon League Champion, a special event will play. Cuboy's team consists of popular Gen 1 classics.

Cuboy's Battle Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1V4DQa5HaR0

Cuboy:

“Oh, hello [Player’s Name]! It’s great to see how you’ve grown so much since we first met. You’ve become wiser, more powerful, and now you’re the Pokemon League Champion! I’m glad to see you’ve learned so well. You remind me of myself when I was younger. Oh, what is that? Well, if you really wish to know, a long time ago, I was just like you. I travelled throughout the region, battling the best Pokemon trainers, and I became the Pokemon League Champion myself. I eventually retired from Pokemon battling, and decided to instead just dedicate my time to learning more about Pokemon. When I met you, I had the feeling you had a great potential, so that’s why I decided to become your mentor. To see you as you are, it’s truly a sight to behold. What, you want to see me in action? Well, it’s been some time since my last battle against a strong Pokemon trainer, but I guess it’ll be fun. I accept your challenge.”

Team:

- Pikachu, Level 76

- Venusaur, Level 77

- Blastoise, Level 78

- Snorlax, Level 79

- Charizard, Level 80

- Mewtwo, Level 82

"Wow, you're good! You truly deserve the title of Pokemon League Champion, [Player's Name]!"

CONCLUSION

And well, that’s all there is to say. I hope you found this idea interesting. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to let me know in the comment section below. Have a great day and wear your seatbelts!
