Story[]

February 28th, 2019. The scent of black smoke is heavy in the air...

The burning remnants of the newly-reopened Emilio's Pizzeria, a place meant to be a redemption of the dark past of Fazbear Entertainment (now acquired by Emilio Inc.), now lies as a crime scene of what can only be described as an heinous attempt on the lives of five innocent children done by a yellow bunny-like animatronic that calls itself, according to former night-guard Rosewell Starrison... Springtrap.

As the police sirens and the hissing waters fill the air to combat the flames, the once moldy green of the murderer, now scorched black, staggers his way out of the ravaging flames- broken, burned, and fatigued. He wheezes in the blacken smoke of the fires.

  • Springtrap: Hack! Hark! I... hate this... smell...

These are the only things he can muster the energy to say from his dry, raspy throat. The cleansing flames has taken a serious toll onto his body, and soon he falls to the ground, reduced to a slow crawl. For each inch he crawls away, he felt a small part of his will fading away.

Finally, he finds shelter within an alley of the town. But by then, the damage is already done. Having lost all will to keep going, he goes limp from exhaustion. Taking a few breaths in, he notices his vision going black. His reaction... is not surprised.

  • Springtrap: Hrrr...

'So, this is it,' he pondered in his head. 'This will be my final death... no legacy, no revenge... just non existence...' His last thoughts as his eyes slowly start to clamp together. His vision continuing to darken, he had seemed to take his pointless demise with little strife...

Then, his eyes closed.

Then, they open back up. For what felt like a second of unconsciousness, he notices that it looked like hours. The first thing he saw with his two eyes, upon his reawakening, is a large robotic figure, masked within the shadows of the dawn. Springtrap makes a raspy, mechanical yelp of surprise. He attempts to push himself away from this tall, threatening figure. But alas, even after an hours slumber, he was too weak to move more than an inch. This figure steadily approaches him, almost with no movement as it uses its roller-blades to reach for him. But as it comes closer, Springtrap notices something about it...

Those long pony-tails on its head, that giant menacing claw on its arm, those glowing beautiful green eyes... could it be?

  • Springtrap: Baby?
  • Baby: Hello, father.

2 months later. Aurora stares at the image on Athena's computer, trying to make out it's composition. The image consists of several shadow trees, lit up from behind by the multicoloured bands of the sunset. But what sticks out for Aurora is the shadowy figure that stands among the trees.

The figure was human-like, with a oval-shaped head much like that of a inkling's, with two ponytail like structures emerging from it's head. It looks to have a skirt, but what sticks out for Aurora is the large rectangular claw in place of it's right hand, as well as it's glowing green eyes. She looks up at Athena.

  • Aurora: What is that?
  • Athena: That's the question. Looks like we found our next case.

Athena turns to computer back to face her.

  • Aurora: So what else is there about this image?
  • Athena: (She looks at her screen, revealing it to be part of an article detailing the sighting) Let's see... it was taken yesterday, so this is a hot lead, and it was taken near this upcoming amusement park called "Freddy and Friends' Showtime Amusement Park". Yeesh, that's a mouthful of a name.
  • Aurora: What's that?

Athena opens another tab and searches the place in Google, eventually yielding some news articles regarding the park's scheduled opening.

  • Athena: Huh, it's an amusement park that features the latest high-tech animatronics thanks to a partnership with HyperTech Industries.
  • Aurora: Huh. You know, my mum works for Hypertech.
  • Athena: Really? What job?
  • Aurora: Uhh... I think it was to do with computer systems. Anyway, I presume we'll be going soon to go talk with some people about that... thing, right?
  • Athena: You got it.

After a three hour drive, Athena and Aurora arrive in Denver, Colorado, and park a few metres away from where the supposed amusement park is. After walking through the entrance gate, they began to walk towards the center of the amusement park. They get a glimpse of the current state of its construction: many tents were in place that had blueprints detailing the amusement plans in place of those tents (like balloon vendors, ball pits, duck ponds, etc.), a portion of a work-in-progress roller coaster from afar, and a big laser-tag center on their right.

  • Aurora: Woah, this is a lot of stuff.
  • Athena: No kidding. Maybe we'll come back here when it reopens, who knows.

The two eventually find themselves in the front of a under construction rock n roll stage, where they find two men standing together: one was wearing a mostly-gray attire with a fedora and a trench coat, and the other was wearing a white blazer jacket, and a blue scarf. While they didn’t identify the grey-looking man, they do know his accomplice: Alan Robertson, the founder of HyperTech.

  • Athena: Wait, is that Alan Robertson?
  • Aurora: Yeah... I was gonna mention that the other guy kinda looks like you.
  • Athena: (She smirks at Aurora's comment) No, I see it. Guess old people really do dress like this.
  • Aurora: Wait, you're not- Oh, right.

Athena and Aurora approach the pair, ready to ask them a few questions. However, before they can say something, they hear a feminine voice behind them.

  • ???: Now, whaddya’ll think yer doin’ here for?

Athena and Aurora swiftly turn their heads to see who’s talking to them... it was a giant, brown animatronic bear, about the same height of Athena herself, wearing a black vest with a red bowtie, and a top hat on her head. The animatronic bear crosses her arms, looming over them like a disappointed mother.

  • Animatronic Bear: Didn’t yer mothers ever teach you not to trespass other people’s yards? Our turf hadn’t even open yet!
  • Athena: My mother taught me how to count in Greek, does that count?
  • Aurora: (slightly startled) Oookay... what is that?
  • Athena: (She studies the animatronic) ... I think it's Jerry from Tom and Jerry, except with make-up.
  • Animatronic Bear: (Offended gasp!) How dare ya think Imma some sort of ripoff! Y’all need to pack up and leave- y’all ain’t suppose to be here.

As they hear the animatronic drama queen rant, they hear yet another voice.

  • Alan: The animatronic bear has a point.

Athena and Aurora turn their eyes back to the two men, whose attention has been gained by the ranting bear. Both the gray-suited man and Alan look at the pair.

  • Alan: Why are you two here? This is private property you’re entering.
  • Athena: Special Agent Anderson, FBI. And this is my partner, Agent Blue.

The two show their badges to the two men. While the gray-suited man looked at the badges with little surprise, Alan just looks doubtful at their plausibility.

  • Gray-Suited Man: FBI agents, hm?
  • Alan: (trying to sound convinced) Seems like it, Henry.

The animatronic bear continues to look at Athena and Aurora, with impatience in her eyes.

  • Animatronic Bear: Um, hello~? I don‘t know what y’all showing to our employers, but surely nuthin’ that’ll interest me! Now get-

Before the animatronic bear can finish, Alan suddenly pulls out a flashlight and points it at the animatronic.

  • Alan: That’s enough, Showtime Freddy.

He constantly turns it on and off again, inducing a strobe effect onto Showtime Freddy’s eyes, where she eventually locks up and seemingly shuts down completely. Alan puts the flashlight away and looks at “Special Agent Anderson”.

  • Alan: Make it quick, Miss Anderson. I don’t have the patience for speaking with authority figures. And I want to get back to work with Henry over here.
  • Athena: Yeah, okay. Look, all we want to do is ask you some questions. A few days ago an unknown humanoid was supposedly seen on the premises of this estate.

She removes from a pocket a folded up piece of paper and hands it to Henry and Alan. When they open it up, they are greeted by the image Athena had shown Aurora. Alan reacted with surprise and disgust, while Henry barely lifted an eyebrow or anything.

  • Alan: What the-?! I’ve not known of this... thing prior to setting up our estate here. When-
  • Henry: When was this photograph taken, Miss Anderson?
  • Athena: According to the person who took it, 2 days ago.

Henry merely closes his eyes and nods. Alan, on the other hand, stares at her with a concerned look.

  • Alan: So that thing is likely still around... well, good thing I had installed security defensive protocols onto the animatronics. I’m sure they’ll scare off that abomination.
  • Athena: Well, me and Agent Blue still wish to conduct an investigation of the premises during the night. With your permission, of course.

Alan looked surprised when asked to investigate the amusement park. He was getting ready to decline, but Henry spoke up.

  • Henry: I’m sure it’ll be fine. Just... do be aware that these animatronics are not the normal, static robots you’d usually seen, as you saw with Showtime Freddy.

He stops himself and looks at Alan, gesturing him to help him elaborate. Realizing that he might not have a say this time around, he sighs.

  • Alan: Yes, these models of animatronic entertainers are one-of-a-kind pieces of machinery- they’re completely mobile, have an advanced AI that make them seem like real characters, and, most prominently, can do manual tasks of their own. This includes making their own pizza, running their own entertainment booths, and, most importantly, watch over the establishment to prevent robberies.
  • Aurora: Cool... But um, what's stopping them from going after us when we're here at night?
  • Alan: Their internal protocols in ensuring no criminal enters this establishment at any costs.

Alan pulls out his cellphone and began to type on it.

  • Alan: You see, by Henry’s request, I’ve installed a facial-recognition software that’s connected into a criminal database- if they see a criminal entering the area, they’ll react appropriately, depending on the severity of the criminal’s crimes. If they’re a misdemeanor, they’ll just escort you out of the premise. However, if you’re a felon, say a murderer or an arsonist, they’ll actively arrest you and bring you to the proper authorities.

After a bit, he turns off his phone and puts it away.

  • Alan: Fortunately for you lot, I’ve altered the Showtime animatronics’ AI to register you two as not trespassers, but visitors. So, they shouldn’t do anything to interrupt your investigations outside of treating you pair like a birthday girl or something.
  • Aurora: Oh, okay.
  • Athena: Alright, that sounds good. Thank you, Mr. Robertson, we'll try inform you if the matter's been resolved.
  • Alan: Break any of these animatronics and I will sue.

Alan stares at ‘Special Agent Anderson’ with thankless contempt before he approaches Showtime Freddy and presses a button on her neck. Her eyes open wide and she suddenly springs back to life.

  • Showtime Freddy: Aaaaaand I’m back!

Showtime Freddy turns her head to Athena and gasps in surprise.

  • Showtime Freddy: Ooooh! Why, it ain’t our special guest! (Noogies Athena’s head) You should feel happy to be our lil’ special girl! The place hasn’t even open yet!

Athena frowns slightly at the noogie, before she beckons for Aurora to follow her as they prepare to leave the park.

  • Athena: Well, that's sorted with, I'll go gather the stuff we need for this night investigation, you should probably get some sleep in the meantime.
  • Aurora: ... Okay.

They continue walking away from the amusement and towards the car, when Aurora decides to bring up something that's on her mind.

  • Aurora: Alan didn't seem like he wanted us here.
  • Athena: I wouldn't read into it too much, probably just a case of celebrities being jerks when you meet them in person.

Later, it's nearing 6 pm and Aurora is fast asleep in her hotel room, when she's woken up by fast knocking on her door, as she quickly gets up to open it, she sees Athena with her computer in hand and a somewhat concerned look on her face.

  • Aurora: Wait, what's happening?...
  • Athena: I need to show you something.

Athena sits herself on Aurora's bed, Aurora quickly joining her as Athena places the computer on her lap for them both to see, showing that on her screen is a video.

  • Athena: So I was checking for any previous sightings of this thing we're going after, and I found this.

As Athena starts the video, it looks to be filmed at night from inside someone's house, with a window separating the camera from what it is filming. In the orange light of the surrounding lamps, Aurora can see the humanoid figure from the image slowly trudging down the road, then she notices that following it from behind is a smaller, more human like figure, with what seem to be heavily damaged rabbit ears emerging from it's head.

In the light of the streetlamps, both entities can be seen to be heavily withered, with holes in their body and the bunny even seeming to be missing it's left arm. After watching them walk of into the distance for another 15 seconds, the video ends.

  • Aurora: …There's two of them now?
  • Athena: They look to be animatronics. Plus, we might know what that other thing is.

Athena changes tabs, and the screen now shows a news article.

  • Athena: It might be the Springtrap.

"IT'S BURNS!"

Newly refurbished pizzeria mysteriously burns down after attempted kidnappings.

Following the kidnappings of 5 young children in the Town of Echo Creek by what can be presumed to be a person in a mascot suit, the popular restaurant Emilio's Pizzeria has burned to the ground under currently mysterious circumstances. Former night-guard and member of the Locked Room Gang Rosewell Starrison claimed to have encountered the supposed kidnapper on the premises, which called itself Springtrap, and was able to free the hostages in the ensuing conflict before the building mysteriously burst into flames.

  • Aurora: We met Rosewell, didn't we?
  • Athena: Yep.

Aurora continues to read.

The Springtrap, believed to have perished in the ensuing fire, was described as a heavily damaged animatronic suit, believed to be one of the now decommissioned "Spring Bonnie" models used in the 1970's by Fazbear Entertainmant.

Aurora looks at Athena.

  • Aurora: …Guess it didn't die, did it?
  • Athena: Nope, what's worse is that it and the other animatronic might be working together, too.
  • Aurora: Does this... change anything?
  • Athena: In terms of tonight's investigation, maybe. We'll just have to keep a eye-out for the Springtrap. Anyway, it's 6:20, we should go eat.

Athena closes her laptop and stands up, and walks over to the door, laptop now tucked under her armpit. As Aurora begins to put on her shoes, Athena quickly remembers to tell her something.

  • Athena: Oh yeah, at 9 I'll knock on your door to tell you we're going.

She opens the door.

  • Athena: Either that or I'll break the door down.
  • Aurora: …Okay.

The two leave Aurora's room to go eat dinner before their night investigation.

9:30 pm. The night is eerily silent as the two of them approach the amusement park. Heading through the gate is a completely different experience in the darkness, and knowing what could be lurking in the shadows means Aurora is very on edge.

  • Athena: (To Aurora) Stay near me, got it?

Aurora nods as they unknowingly pass by one of the animatronics. It was a giant yellow chicken with pink shorts and a bib that says “Let’s Party!” The animatronic in question, Showtime Chica, gasps in surprise and suddenly hugs Athena, lifting her from the ground as she does so.

  • Showtime Chica: Heeeeey, it’s the special guests again! I’m glad ya’ll are here!
  • Athena: (Tries to wiggle her way out, flailing her legs slightly) Hrg...

Aurora giggles as the scene unfold. There was just something funny about seeing the goddess of wisdom get hugged like a little kid.

  • Aurora: They still think we're kids... (She chuckles quietly) This is gonna be a long night, isn't it...
  • Athena: You'd think they'd be programmed to hug for less than 3 seconds!

As Athena and Aurora are distracted, they are unaware that are being watched from behind a tent by two pairs of eyes- one set white and the other green.

  • Springtrap: This... is the place you wanted to... show me...?
  • Baby: Yes. I have read what's on the walls, children will gather here one day, we just have to wait, and see.
  • Springtrap: But... what about them?

He points his sharp skeletal finger at the two adults Athena and Aurora, with a look of suspicion. Baby's eyes focus in on the two, studying them, before she rather wrongly guesses who the person in the grey suit is.

  • Baby: The man in grey, he appears here during the day, watching as things move. I believe he's called... Henry.

Upon hearing this, Springtrap clenches his fist onto the tent, now filled with more anger than he felt.

  • Springtrap: Henry... why is he still alive? Why is he still... doing this?

Baby pays no attention to what Springtrap says, continuing to focus on the two they are watching.

  • Baby: But I'm curious as to what would bring him out here in the night... He may be onto us. But who is that by his side...?
  • Springtrap: I care not for who is with him. I want to kill him. I want to make... him... scream...
  • Baby: We do not want to attract attention.

Springtrap suddenly cranks his head at Baby, speaking in a sterner, more guttural voice.

  • Springtrap: These animatronics will not acknowledge our presence- they’re mindless, unlike us. And these two men are the only ones here. What attention would we attract?
  • Baby: …Yes, father.

Meanwhile, Showtime Chica lets go of Athena, who drops to the ground. She turns her attention to Aurora, who still has a amused grin on her face.

As they make their way away from Showtime Chica, the two of them take out their flashlights and turn them on, casting the beams of light in front of them. Springtrap and Baby quickly slink away back into the darkness as the two women begin to explore the park.

  • Athena: Normally, I'd bring a thermal, but what we're dealing with are probably made of metal, so uh...

Suddenly they hear a clang somewhat close to them. The two of them quickly snap their heads towards the sound.

  • Aurora: What was that?
  • Athena: I don't know.

The two of them both point their flashlights towards the direction of the sound. As they continue to slowly walk forward, Baby and Springtrap continue to watch the two from the shadows. Springtrap turns to Baby.

  • Springtrap: I will distract them- I will rush past them to get their attention. When they separate, you get the lost one. Understand, daughter?
  • Baby: (Gleefully) Yes, father. I will not fail you.
  • Springtrap: I know you won’t.

After he said his word, Springtrap slowly slips away into the shadows and prepares his ambush...

Athena and Aurora began to check out the exterior of the laser-tag centre. It was an unusually giant concrete box with a sign that says “Foxy the Pirate Fox’s Laser Tag Arena Battle!”, with the entrance having no doors installed yet. Obviously, it was still a work-in-progress, but Aurora hasn't ever seen a laser-tag building this big.

  • Aurora: Huh, that's a... big laser tag arena.
  • Athena: You think when they finish the whole place they'll allow adults to play?
  • Aurora: Are you only suggesting we try laser tag so you can kick my butt in it?
  • Athena: …Maybe.

Then, a lowly growl is heard coming somewhere around that very building, catching the attentions of Athena and Aurora, who focus their flashlights towards the sound of the growl.

  • Athena: Did you hear that?
  • Aurora: Yeah.
  • Athena: I can sense something nearby.

They slowly begin to head towards the noise, before they were suddenly ambushed by this giant rotting bunny suit, that is Springtrap, who makes a guttural roar as he attempts to grab Athena by her neck. Athena is quick to react and backhands Springtrap across it's face, sending him sprawling to the ground. Aurora is caught off guard by the sudden attack but is unable to act further when something grabs her by the arm and pulls her into the darkness, before throwing her a fair distance away, out of sight of Springtrap and Athena.

  • Aurora: Ah!
  • Athena: (Spins around at hearing the sound of screaming) What the-

Seeing Athena distracted, Springtrap quickly gets himself up from the ground and sucker-punch Athena in the face, causing her to stagger back slightly. With her so close to him, it dawns on Springtrap that she is not the man he was searching for. Nonetheless, he doesn’t seem very disappointed by this and he lets out a frustrated growl.

  • Springtrap: You are not Henry... but I shall make you suffer regardless!

He rushes at Athena, ready to do more harm to her when she uses her foot to kick him away from her, sending him to the ground.

Meanwhile, Aurora is sent crashing to the ground, in complete darkness. Seeing that she still has a hold of her flashlight, she quickly shines it around her in an attempt to locate where Athena is. Soon, she can hear the sounds of heavy metallic footsteps approaching, but in the near pitch back around her, she is unable to discern it's precise position.

Her heart beating in fear, she slowly turns around to behind her, only for her flashlight to shine upon a orange and cream coloured chest, with a metallic red skirt. As she raises the flashlight, it reveals a large robotic head with wire-like hair composed and two pigtails, and a mouth filled with small knife-like teeth. It's ringed eyes glowed a vibrant green as they stared dead at Aurora.

Baby lunges forward at Aurora, accompanied with a loud shriek. Aurora falls on her back again, now seeing Baby's large claw on her right hand.

  • Aurora: AGH!
  • Baby: Let's see how many pieces I can cut you into.

She quickly scrambles to her feet and bolts out of there, ignoring her flashlight as Baby attempts to grab Aurora with her claw.

  • Aurora: Athena!

She calls out Athena's name, hoping that she has dealt with Springtrap and is now looking for her. After running for some time, she quickly crouches behind one of the tents. As she goes deadly silent, she can soon hear the footsteps of Baby approach, before she can see the green light of her eyes cast itself onto a nearby tent, before away and onto the tent she is hiding behind.

  • Baby: If you are very, very quiet, then maybe... I will not find you.

Soon, the heavy footsteps seem to go away, and after a few seconds, Aurora quickly stands up and quietly begins to walk away, thinking the animatronic has lost her trail.

Maybe I should call out to Athena, she thinks. No, don't, she warns herself, either animatronic could hear her and come after her. She has to do things silently, as bad as it is. Suddenly she hears a quiet creak behind her, accompanied by a single heavy footstep. A knowing shiver goes up Aurora's spine as she slowly looks behind her, only to see Baby peering behind the tent she had just been crouched behind, her green eyes focusing on Aurora.

  • Baby: Found you.

Baby steps away from the tent, before slowly making her way towards Aurora, her massive claw dragging itself along the floor.

Meanwhile, Athena is speeding away from the bunny-eared monstrosity, prioritising on finding Aurora before she could get herself into more trouble.

  • Athena: AURORA!

She yells at the top of her voice, hoping it will broadcast across the whole theme park and be picked up by Aurora. Everything's going to be okay, don't panic, she berates in her head. As her running slowed, frantically looking around to see if her friend is nearby, she hears the sound of fleshy, squeaking footsteps around her. Due to the dark of night blocking her vision, she can only use her flashlight and her ears to pinpoint this noise. Then, a growly voice beckons to her.

  • Springtrap: I see you.
  • Athena: Oh yeah?

She immediately spun her body and flashed her light at the source of the sound... only to see nothing in the shadows of it all. Another voice is heard around her.

  • Springtrap: Find me for all you want. It won’t do you any good... for you will not be spared nor saved...
  • Athena: Then step out of the darkness. Face me and prove that your words aren't empty threats.

Her eyes light up as she continues to look for any movement that could give away the position of her metallic stalker. Then, she heard something approach her. Not even thinking what footsteps it made, Athena turned her head to see that the approacher... is just Showtime Freddy, who looks puzzled by her uptightedness.

  • Showtime Freddy: Woah, looks like somebody ‘ere is jumpity-uppity today. Y’all alright?
  • Athena: Oh... it's you.

Showtime Freddy, recognizing the contempt in her tone, scoffed at her.

  • Showtime Freddy: Oh, don’t give me that tone o’ voice, young girl! Ya think you oughta liven up here in-

Suddenly, she abruptly stopped speaking. Her eyes peaked behind Athena, seeing something. She blinked, turning her eyes black with only white, glowing pupils.

  • Athena: Uh, you see something, Marilyn Monroe-

Showtime Freddy interrupts her with a more mature, more ominous voice.

  • Showtime Freddy: He’s behind you.
  • Athena: What?

Realising what she might mean, Athena quickly spins around behind her, witnessing the giant rabbit Springtrap raising his skeletal hand and attempting to scratch her face. She catches the hand as he brings it down on her, to which he quickly responds by head-butting her, causing her to stagger downward. Springtrap laughs at this, ignoring Showtime Freddy’s presence.

  • Springtrap: You are a pathetic fool to think you can-
  • Showtime Freddy: CRIMINAL.

Showtime Freddy lunges towards Springtrap, emitting a ferocious roar as she attempt to scratch this ‘criminal’ as she exclaimed. Springtrap yelped in surprise as he attempt to push this violent animatronic away.

  • Athena: Holy-

Athena steps back in surprise as Showtime Freddy engages with Springtrap, before wondering why it's attacking the burnt Bugs Bunny. Oh right, Henry had said these things have access to a criminal database, she recalls. The Springtrap, knowing it's track record, is probably on it.

Seeing Baby approach, Aurora begins to back away, only to slip on the muddy ground and fall onto her back. As she tries to scramble away, Baby quickly catches up with her, towering menacingly. With a metallic click, she reaches down and grabs a hold of Aurora's leg, before turning away from her as she begins dragging her away.

  • Aurora: Hey, let me go!
  • Baby: (gloatingly) You should've known I'd find you.

Aurora thrashes her leg in an attempt to free herself, but Baby's grip does not budge. She fortunately manages to turn herself onto her back and attempt to kick Baby's hand off her with her other leg, but another firm tug from Baby causes Aurora to bonk her head on the floor, dazing her slightly.

Suddenly, as Baby prepares to go for the kill, the killer robot hears a feminine and ominous voice from behind her- a voice Aurora quickly recognises.

  • Showtime Chica: Playtime’s over, CRIMINAL.

As Baby turns her head to see the maker of that voice, she is suddenly attacked by Showtime Chica, now beakless and black glowing eyes, who lunges at the ‘criminal’ while making a violent shriek. The sudden attack knocks both animatronics to the ground on top of Aurora.

  • Aurora: Ow! Son of a-

As the two animatronics wrestle on top of her, Aurora manages to wiggle her way out before making a run for it, yelling Athena's name at the top of her voice once again. Meanwhile, Baby manages to push her attacker off her, and as she gets to her feet, she slams her claw into Showtime Chica as she attempts another assault. As Showtime Chica collapse onto the ground, she looks up to the robot with her white pupils.

  • Showtime Chica: You think this is a funtime, ey buddy? Well, I’m afraid this won’t be very entertaining for you soon... miss Afton.

As Showtime Chica slowly gets back up to make yet another assault at Baby, she is halted when her torso is grabbed by Baby's massive claw and quickly thrown to the ground. As the animatronic chicken attempts to get up, her chest is pinned to the ground by Baby's roller-skate wearing feet, and like the head of a doll, hers is torn from it's body, leaving only severed wires in it's place. As Baby discards the head, she turns her attention to Aurora's yelling.

With Springtrap distracted by Showtime Freddy, this gives Athena an opportunity to wander off to look for Aurora. Luckily, she doesn't have to tread far as soon, she hears Aurora calling out her name.

  • Athena: Aurora! Is that you?!
  • Aurora: Yeah! Where are you?!
  • Athena: I'm over here!

Aurora rather blindly stumbles around in the dark, as without her flashlight she is forced to rely on her hearing to make her way out. She bumps into a fold-able table as she walks towards the sounds of struggling, before eventually she rather stumbles upon Athena, who breathes a huge sigh relief as the two reunite with each other.

  • Athena: Oh thank god! What happened to you, where'd you go?!
  • Aurora: I got attacked by the clown robot thing!

Suddenly the two hear a metallic footstep behind them, and two look to see Baby staring a them both. Now that Athena was with her, Aurora could really tell how huge the robot was, especially compared to Athena.

  • Athena: You mean that one, right?
  • Aurora: Yeah...
  • Baby: You got with your friend again. But it doesn't matter.

From behind them, Springtrap pushes Showtime Freddy towards them, who is now missing an arm. Springtrap, who is holding said arm, tosses it away and immediately grabs Showtime Freddy’s neck, where he rips out many of her vital electrical wiring. As Showtime Freddy deactivates, Springtrap approaches Athena and Aurora from behind, as Baby approaches from in front of them.

  • Springtrap: We will make you suffer... suffer like so many of the others that stood before me.
  • Athena: …Think you can handle Bugs Bunny over there?
  • Aurora: I'll try.

Athena puts her flashlight away as her spear appears in her hand, and she runs at Baby, Baby quickly attempting to grab her with her massive pincer. Athena ducks to avoid it before spearing Baby through the chest, emerging from the other side with the sound of dislodged metal and severed wires. While Baby is initially shocked by the sudden attack, she slowly looks up at Athena, unaffected.

  • Athena: Oh.

Like a child scooping up a pencil in their hands, Athena is suddenly grabbed by Baby's pincer, losing her grip on her spear as it's rows of sharp spikes begin digging into her side. As Athena attempts to pry Baby's claw off her, Aurora prepares to stand off with Springtrap, her blade in hand. As she and Springtrap stand off, he sadistically laughs at her as he circles around her.

  • Springtrap: I can taste the fear in your breath, little one... afraid of dying, are you?

He laughs again before he suddenly lunges towards her, aiming his skeletal hand at her stomach to pierce. Hearing the sound of him lunging at her, Aurora steps back to avoid his attack before she blindly stabs him with her blade, plunging it right into his back. He screeches in pain as quickly backs off, Aurora’s blade still sticking out of his back. Realising her weapon's gone, Aurora attempts to circle Springtrap in the dark to try retrieve it. Using the few lights that illuminate the area, she manages gets a grasp on her blade and she pulls it out of his upper back. Screeching in pain, Springtrap attempts to blindly claw her in the face. While he's able to slash her across the cheek, she quickly ducks at his next swipe and kicks him away once she rebounds.

Meanwhile, Athena's spear flies back into her hand and she uses to impale Baby's pincer onto the floor. As the much larger animatronic attempts to free herself, Athena uses this moment to slowly pry the claw off her waist with her hands. As she staggers back after doing so, she sees Baby pull the spear out of her claw before regaining focus onto her.

  • Baby: (discards the spear) Fine, I won't play nice.
  • Athena: Wow, no wonder you probably failed the Turing Test.

As Baby prepares to attack Athena, they both hear a guttural scream of pain. When they both turn their heads, they witnessed that Aurora had managed to stab Springtrap right in his lower abdomen. When she removes the knife off of him, Springtrap collapsed to the ground, his legs unmoving.

  • Springtrap: My... legs...! I can’t feel my legs!
  • Aurora:
  • Baby: Father!

Baby knocks Athena out of the way with her hand and urgently stomps over to Springtrap, pushing Aurora out of the way as she she crouches over him. Realising that she can't have further harm come to her or her father, she picks him up and puts him over her shoulder, but not before looking back at Athena and Aurora with contempt as she quickly carries Springtrap away into the night.

As the two girls get up, they look at one another to process what has just occurred in the past hour or so. Aurora has her cheek covered with her hand after Springtrap had scratched it with his claws

  • Aurora: Did she call that thing her father?
  • Athena: Pretty sure she did.

Aurora is still evidently perplexed, as is Athena.

  • Aurora: What were those things? They look like animatronics, but how are they alive? How are they still functioning?

Athena looks off in the distance to where Baby and Springtrap had fled.

  • Athena: I don't know, but I don't think we're done with this case yet.
  • Aurora: I... I'm just really confused, that's all.
  • Athena: Speaking of, where's your flashlight?
  • Aurora: Oh, uh... I think I lost it when I got attacked.

Athena takes hers out of her pocket and turns it on in front of her.

  • Athena: Eh, no big deal. I'll get you another one.
  • Aurora: Uh, what about...

She gestures at the two destroyed animatronics. Athena grimaces at the sight, and at the realisation of the potential consequences.

  • Athena: Oh, Alan's gonna be pissed now. Uh... I think I can talk him out of suing us.
  • Aurora: You sure...?
  • Athena: I'll try. That's kind of all I can guarantee.
  • Aurora: So uh, I presume we'll be driving back, right?
  • Athena: Uh, I suggest we sleep in the car until they arrive in the morning.
  • Aurora: …Got it.

The two begin heading towards the exit of the theme park.

Several hours later, it's early morning. The sky is now a deep blue, still untouched by the sun's presence, but the town is still relatively dark. Athena and Aurora are awake, having slept for the night in the car, and are waiting for Alan and Henry to show up, which they most likely will.

Eventually, they see two vehicles entering the driveway of the parking lot. One vehicle was an authentic, gray 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Coupe car. The other vehicle accompanying the grey car was a giant white semi-truck, carrying a long trailer barring the HyperTech insignia on the sides.

The two vehicles eventually park near each other in the parking lot. While Henry leaves his car via his driver-side door, Alan is seen leaving the trailer of the vehicle via a set of stairs formed on the left side of the trailer. The two eventually meet up and begin to approach the entrance, having forgotten about Athena and Aurora’s presence.

  • Alan: Remind me again why we are visiting the amusement park at this time.
  • Henry: Check-up, Mr. Robertson. You said that these animatronics are designed to run the place with virtually no human employees, right? I want to see how your two prototype animatronics would do guarding the place of hostile intruders.
  • Alan: An understandable statement, but why do that at four in the morning?

As they talk, they walk pass Aurora’s vehicle, whereupon she and Athena get out to intercept the two.

  • Athena: Morning to both of you.

Henry and Alan stepped back upon being greeted by the two.

  • Alan: Oh... it’s you two.

Alan simply walked past them to further approach the entrance, leaving Henry behind.

  • Alan: How was your night there, ‘FBI agents’? I hope it’s pretty uneventful for the both of you.
  • Athena: Guess you thought wrong, then.
  • Aurora: You know the creatures that have been seen near the park...?
  • Alan: Yes. What about them-

As soon as he enters, he notices that his two animatronic robots, Showtime Freddy and Showtime Chica, are heavily injured, with the former’s arm missing and its neck sputtering electricity, and the latter’s head ripped off. Alan gasp in utter horror.

  • Alan: MY ANIMATRONICS!!

He immediately rushed towards the robots and began to scrounge around their remains, talking speedily in anger and panic.

  • Alan: What happened- what happened- decapitated head, broken wires in the neck, loss of an arm?! These things were $50K each!

As he continues to do this, Henry calmly walks behind Athena and Aurora, ready to ask a question.

  • Henry: They were here... were they?
  • Aurora: Uh huh.
  • Athena: ...You said the animatronics were connected to a criminal database, right?
  • Henry: Yes... it would seem like they’ve taken the monsters as criminals...

As Athena was questioning Henry, Aurora turns her head to notice Alan slowly marching towards them, with a very angry expression on his face.

  • Aurora: Uh, Athena.

Athena turns to see the approaching Alan. When he opened his mouth, Athena can tell that, in each word he spoke out, he was holding back seething rage towards them.

  • Alan: You two had better give me a very... reasonable... explanation...
  • Athena: For why the animatronics are damaged? (She takes a deep breath) Look, your buddy Henry had them rigged to a criminal database, right? Apparently a robotic clown with pigtails and a lobster claw and a black rabbit count as criminals.
  • Aurora: So it's technically Henry's fault, right?... (to Henry) No offence.

Henry merely says nothing. When Athena explains what happened, Alan’s face quickly goes from angry to curious.

  • Alan: What? No, no- there’s no way they would've been registered as criminals. Trespassers? Yes. But as criminals? You described them as outright monstrous- the Showtimes’ criminal database scanners can only identify humans. Surely, there would be no way they would’ve taken the monsters as human criminals... right?

Alan pondered about this for a second. Wanting answers just as much as Athena, he quickly asks a second question.

  • Alan: What about the monsters you two had encountered? Assuming that the showtimes had taken them as criminals, how come they were unable to pin them down and arrest them?

The question prompts Athena to quickly recall the events of last night, as does Aurora, and soon both of them pick up a rather minute detail.

  • Athena: Wait, arrest? The showtimes tried to destroy them, if I remember correctly.
  • Aurora: Yeah, yeah they did, actually.

Alan’s eyes bulge in surprise upon being told this.

  • Alan: What?! No, that can’t be right! I programmed them to, in the event that a active criminal is detected within their sights, pin them down to the ground and arrest them. Killing any criminals is not in their programming!

Alan seemed rather outraged by this discovery, whilst Henry remains quiet about the whole ordeal.

  • Alan: This could mean one thing: someone must’ve tampered with their AI to take those monsters as criminals and attempt to destroy them. And AI tampering makes me maaaad.
  • Aurora: Okay...

Athena turns her attention back to Henry, the old man having been quiet for the previous conversation.

  • Athena: Were you aware of any of this?

Henry’s head perks up upon being asked that question.

  • Henry: No. No, I was not. If I had done some modifications to his robots, I would’ve let him know beforehand.
  • Athena: ...Well, it seems like we have a very specific case of robot tampering, directing them against two unknown entities.
  • Aurora: That's... oddly specific.

Alan sighs before turning his attention to Athena, with a reluctant look.

  • Alan: Miss Anderson... I’d never thought I would say this to you, but I would like to thank you for your services. I was not aware of this form of animatronic tampering, but thanks to you, I can remedy this situation so that it may not happen again. I suppose I owe you for that.
  • Athena: No problem... We'll continue to look into this case, and see if we can deal with whatever these entities are.
  • Alan: Thank you for the offer... I guess.

As Alan pulls out his phone and begins to text someone, Henry approaches him.

  • Henry: What do you think we should do now, Mr. Robertson?
  • Alan: Well, firstly, we would need to relocate the establishment; somewhere less remote than this forestlands that this park is based on. Hopefully, the monsters won’t be able to infiltrate a amusement park if it’s located near a city.
  • Henry: Ah... alright.

After he finishes, Alan puts away his phone and gestures to his truck.

  • Alan: I’ve texted my men to come to our location to begin plans for relocation. Let’s go meet up in my truck so we may find a suitable area to relocate.
  • Henry: Okay.

Then, Henry and Alan exit the amusement park to go to the latter’s semi-truck, leaving Athena and Aurora alone in the amusement park.

  • Aurora: So... eventful much?
  • Athena: Yep.

Having been in the car for the investigation, Athena takes out her phone to read the time. Aurora, meanwhile, decides to look around her for no reason other than a sudden wave of curiosity. As she looks around, the suddenly spots someone peering from behind a tree. While hard to make out, Aurora can see that they are wearing what looks like a white hockey mask, the kind she'd seen Jason Voorhees wear in "Friday the 13th".

  • Athena: It's 4:03. I think we have plenty of time to head back and get some decent slee-
  • Aurora: (slightly panicked) There's a guy with a mask watching us.

Hearing this, Athena quickly looks where Aurora had claimed to seen the masked man, and she is able to get a quick glance of the masked man as he quickly darts behind the tree he was watching them from.

The two quickly sprint after the masked man, quickly confronting him with Aurora standing behind to block off any escape for him while Athena stands ahead of it, ready for any move he might make. Seeing that he is surrounded, his body relaxes. Up close, they can see that the man wears a large dark blue hooded cloak that dangles down to his knees. He wears a dark blue shirt with a dark blue stain around his chest.

  • Aurora: Who are you?
  • Athena: And why do you look like Jason Voorhees?

The masked man stares blankly at Athena, who realises that she can't see his eyes from behind the mask, and can only see a blank space occupied by two small white dots, like the Minigons.

  • ???: You saw an animatronic with pigtails.

The evidently male voice is calm yet brooding, and has the obvious flair of a British accent.

  • Athena: Yeah. How do you know?
  • ???: I heard your conversation.
  • Aurora: Well, why were you listening to us?

The masked man turns around as Aurora speaks, prompting her to rather hesitantly step back. The man seems to take no note of this as he continues talking.

  • ???: You guys are trying to find this animatronic. I know what it is.
  • Athena: You do? What is that thing, then?

The masked man turns around once again to face Athena.

  • ???: Her name is Baby. That thing... is my sister.
