Plot[]
A young wizard, under the name of "Bean", wakes up not remembering anything aside from a horrible defeat that put him in this spot and... a strangely familiar name. His ultimate goal is to find and defeat his foe and regain his memory, and find out why the name means so much to him.

Story[]
(Bean: My name... is Bean. I would tell you more about myself, but... I don't remember who I am. I don't remember almost anything. There are only two memories that remain to me. Firstly, I was put into this situation by a particularly angry lizard...)
Flashback to Bean and Ripto battling on a cliffside. Bean is clearly exhausted and wounded.
Ripto: Ha ha ha ha ha! Is that truly the best fight you can put up!?
Bean: This isn't... this isn't fair! Why are we even fighting when you can just bring reality to its knees like that!?
Ripto: Hmm... you raise a good point! Crush! Get this worthless nuisance out of here!.
Crush grabs Bean and holds him over the cliffside.
Bean: Don't... do this to me...
Ripto: Don't worry, kid. I'm sure you'll be remembered for your courage and intellect... NOT! Crush, he's all yours!
Crush tosses Bean off the cliffside. Bean keeps falling before he hits the ground and blacks out. End Flashback
(Bean: ...It still hurts just thinking about it. How did I survive that...? *Sigh* ...Anyway, more strangely... there's another thing I remember... There's a name... Lucas.... Why is that name, of all names, one that I remember? ...)
Cut to present time, showing that Bean is telling this to Zakira. He turns to face her.
Bean: This is what I'm hoping to solve. I need to find Ripto and defeat him. Perhaps then I can recover my memories.
Zakira: Bean? Hmm... A wizard came here not too long ago asking where you were. His name was... Lemres, I think.
Bean: Lemres? ...Oh, I remember now. He was a friend of mine.
Zakira: Hmm... Perhaps he can help jog your memory. I think I know where he is now.
Bean: Perfect. Let's go.
Zakira leads Bean to where she thought Lemres was headed. He is not there.
Zakira: ...Drat. He must've gone somewhere else..
Bean: ...Now what?
Zakira: Now, we should likely search for Ripto. Who knows where he could be right now, though?
Bean: ...I have an idea...
