PHX-003, more commonly known as Ink Burst, is a pony-inkling hybrid created by Dr. Zack. She's the third of the PHX series, and combines the abilities of both species. She is roleplayed by Redfork2000.
Her first appearance was in The Super Powered Expansion.
Personality
Ink Burst is very self-confident, arrogant and egotistical. She prides herself in being the last of the PHX series, and believes herself to be the best of the three. She has a lot of pride in both her power and her intelligence, and has a very clear sense of superiority over others, which has further been fed by Dr. Zack as he's been the one to give her the most privileges out of all his minions, and giving her authority over them.
Ink Burst can come off as spoiled, conceited, bossy and aggressive when it comes to her interactions with the rest of Dr. Zack's team, and she will not hesitate to threaten and mistreat the other minions in a similar fashion to Dr. Zack.
When it comes to the Locked Room Gang, Ink Burst seems to have a strong hatred towards them, most likely due to her unwillingness to accept defeat. She believes she's better than them, and has devoted herself to work alongside Dr. Zack to get rid of the gang.
Abilities
As a hybrid between two very different species, Ink Splash has a large variety of abilities she can use to her advantage, resulting from a combination of the abilities she has from each species.
- She can use many ink-based weapons.
- She can use her magic horn to do many different spells like a unicorn.
- She can turn into squid form, although she's unable to use pony magic in this form.
- She can also shoot ink attacks from her magic horn, an ability that combines her inkling abilities and pony magic abilities.
- She is able to levitate, and move around very quickly, making her the most mobile and agile of the three PHX hybrids.
Relationships with other characters
Dr. Zack
Ink Burst is Dr. Zack's trusty and loyal assistant who's always by his side to help him out. Ink Burst shows total loyalty to her creator, and so far hasn't shown any indication of changing anytime soon. A lot of Dr. Zack's egotistical, cruel and cunning personality has rubbed off on ink Burst, leading Ink Burst to imitate his way of treating his minions.
Ink Splash
Ink Burst has a deep hatred for Ink Splash, as she sees Ink Splash as a traitor, and prides herself in telling Ink Splash that she's better than her in every way. Her belief of being the best of the PHX series specially shows when she compares herself to Ink Splash.
PHX-001
Ink Burst's older brother, Ink Burst thinks very lowly of him, considering him to be a primitive and savage creature that is uncapable of thinking. She tends to mock him and believe him to be the most useless of the three PHX siblings. However, despite having no restraint in insulting him when he's not around, she's terrified of PHX-001, and when confronted by him, she flees immediately.
Dr. Zack's Subordinates
Ink Burst treats pretty much all of Dr. Zack's minions in the same manner as he does. Dr. Zack has given her authority over the other minions, and she mistreats, bullies and abuses them as much as Dr. Zack does, and perhaps even more, given that Dr. Zack is a more pragmatic and serious person, while Ink Burst is a lot more aggressive and violent.
Locked Room Gang
Ink Burst has a deep hatred towards the gang, and wants nothing more than to destroy them at all costs, and she seems to have no limits as to how far she'll go to do it. There are a few members of the gang she has the greatest hatred towards, such as Red Ruby as she finds him to be the most annoying, as well as Boom and his group for having betrayed Dr. Zack in the past.
