Like any other wiki, the '''In a Locked Room Wiki '''has a set of rules that you must follow if you want to stay here. Now, this may be odd considering this is a ''fanon'' wiki, in which your imagination is the limit, but still, we have to enforce these rules if you don't want [[wikipedia:Off_the_Deep_End|yuppies whining all night]]. Should you not comply with these rules, you'll be faced with punishment, a block, or worse: '''''a ban!'''''

We adopted inspiration from canon and fanon wikis we like; usually the [http://fanon.clubpenguinwiki.info Fanon Club Penguin Wiki], and the [[w:c:plantsvszombies|Plants vs. Zombies Wiki]], while adding our own rules, with some of our rules adapted from the roleplay we document, know, and love.
{{HeadingA|General}}

=== Language ===
+
== '''Main Policies''' ==
This is an American English wiki. Essentially, if you speak English, everyone can understand each other easily. After all, not everyone knows the main languages of the users aside from English.

=== Underage Users ===
If you speak a different language, we won't ban or block you. I mean, what staff member blocks someone who speaks foriegn languages?! But still.

  +
The '''COPPA''' (or '''Children Online Privacy Protection Act''')''' '''rule wasn't enforced by us, but by Wikia. It basically means that in order to join this wiki, you must be at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13 and we find out, we will block you until your 13th birthday.

  +
Now, if you are 13 and above, yet you're still blocked due to being mistaken for an underaged person (usually because of your personality), try contacting one of our admins somewhere in another wiki, and/or show us proof you are legally old enough to join Wikia. If we are convinced enough, we will unblock you.
Bottomline, speak English, and everyone can understand you.

=== Underaged Users ===

'''''This is Wikia's rule, not ours.''''' You must be 13 to join. If you are under 13, however, we're sorry, but you can't join due to laws preventing underaged users.

If you are 12 or under, do not say your real age, though. If you joined as an underaged user and became 13, then nothing bad will happen.

=== Swearing ===

No swearing or cussing anywhere, at mainspace, at chat, at the Discussions, at blogs, even if it's not directed at a user. That includes naming image swears. Minor swears like "crap" are however allowed.  You can swear if it's censored, but still. '''Don't.'''

=== Cyberbullying ===

Do not bully. Your teacher probably told you this many times, and this rule also applies to the wiki. Be friendly to others, and don't be rude.

=== Spamming and Vandalizing ===

Don't spam, troll, flame or vandalize. We will block you.

''April Fool's vandalizing and spamming also counts as normal vandalizing and spamming.''

=== Offensive Material ===

Anything that is by any way sexual, offensive or downright nasty will be wiped off the face of the wiki.

=== Joke Pages ===

Should you make a joke page, mark it as a joke with the <nowiki>{{Template:Joke}}</nowiki> template to let anyone know it's a joke. Otherwise, we'll mark it as spam instead and delete it.

{{HeadingA|Uploads}}

=== Offensive Images ===

Do not upload anything that is sexual or explicit. This could result in a ban. Also, do not upload anything that promotes bullying.

=== Low Quality Images ===

Do not post images with bad quality. We won't block you for this (considering it would be ridiculous if we did), but we will add a template. We recommend you add high quality images.

{{HeadingA|Characters and Content}}

=== Mary Sues ===

''Call them Marty Stus or Marty Sues, whatever, Mary Sues are still the same in meaning.''

Mary Sues are characters that are so unrealistically perfect and flawless. We want everyone to be more of a human and less of a god, so please do not do Mary Sues, unless you want us to throw our edits at your page.

Now, that doesn't mean we frown upon the usage of plot armor. We know you don't want to let go of your characters, so it's okay. But we won't accept Mary Sues.

You know what's worse than that? Invincible villains! These are villains with absolutely virtually '''no weakness'''!  And apparently the only thing that can stop this is a Mary Sue!

=== Death ===

Like any other controversial subject here, death is censored. However, death adds more to drama/story plots, so, we made this section.

* First thing's first, no gore. '''This is a kid's show!'''

* Poison can be acceptable, as long as nothing weird/gory/horrible/disgusting happens.

* Blood can be acceptable, but not too much. Wounds are okay, but extreme hemorrhage is unacceptable. Also, remember that it must still fit within the PG guidelines.

* Don't make it Happy Wheels-style. That means guts flying around is frowned upon.

* Make sure it isn't offensive.

Look. We are here to amuse, not to depress. We are here to make you laugh, not to make you disgusted. We are here to not discomfort you, if you do really discomforting content, don't do it here. Keep it positive. We don't like dark and/or really depressing stories.

After all, <u>''no one wants to feel bad.''</u>

Like any other wiki, the In a Locked Room Wiki has a set of rules and policies that you must follow if you want to stay here. Now, you might be thinking that this is odd, considering this is a fanon wiki. Still, we have to enforce these rules; after all nobody wants yuppies whining all night (Weird Al reference). Should you not comply with most of these rules, you'll be sent a warning. Keep doing it and you'll be faced with punishment, according to severity: a block, or worse, a ban!

We adopted inspiration from canon and fanon wikis we like; usually the Fanon Club Penguin Wiki, and the Plants vs. Zombies Wiki, while adding our own rules, with some of our rules adapted from the roleplay we document, know, and love.

Main Policies

Underage Users

The COPPA (or Children Online Privacy Protection Act) rule wasn't enforced by us, but by Wikia. It basically means that in order to join this wiki, you must be at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13 and we find out, we will block you until your 13th birthday.

Now, if you are 13 and above, yet you're still blocked due to being mistaken for an underaged person (usually because of your personality), try contacting one of our admins somewhere in another wiki, and/or show us proof you are legally old enough to join Wikia. If we are convinced enough, we will unblock you.
