"Aurora: Well, if I'm honest, isn't Hades...
Aurora stops as she tries to phrase it in a way that won't offend the underworld god.
Hades: (Nonchalantly) Evil? Malevolent? The Greek equivalent to Satan?"
— Hades on his modern interpretation

Hades is the Greek god of the underworld and wealth. He is Athena's uncle and husband to Persephone as well as the owner of Cerberus.

History[]

Personality[]

Hades, having lived with his loving wife and dog in peace for several centuries, has become quite relaxed and laid back, evident by his apparent unconcern of his modern interpretation by humans as evil, or as he himself put it, "The Greek equivalent to Satan." However, this synchronisation does mean that when he does lose his temper, it gets really, REALLY bad.

He speaks in a fairly gentle manner, evident when he was preparing to put Aurora in a trance during Holding Back. He is also quite charismatic according to Persephone.

Powers and Abilities[]

Hades has the standard abilities of a Deity.

Unique Powers[]

  • Pyrokinesis: Hades has adept control over blue fire, able to create a highly accurate ring of fire to function as a portal frame.
  • Spell Casting: Hades has shown knowledge of various different spells:
    • Memory Retrieval Spell: During Holding Back, he cast a spell that put Aurora Blue in a trance that allowed her to remember blocked-off memories.
    • Portal Conjuration: He was able to open a fiery portal to Thoth and Isis' funeral parlor.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike modern depictions of Hades, which tend to feature him with heavy motifs relating to orange fire and death as a result of being associated with Satan, ItzXenos' take on him makes him more on line with the Ancient Greek depiction.
  • His blue fire motif is a reference to Disney's interpretation of Hades.
